Caroline Self Portrait

A small intermission off the big painting to do this 30X25cm Oil/Acrylic sketch.

Used Caroline's self portrait photograph, one of the more recent ones as my reference.

And thats that.

Ordinary Series - Oil on Canvas

After spending 2 years working exclusively with Digital, I am starting to paint on canvas again.

The ordinary series I did in Photoshop is the one I chose to do first.

Someone tagged my work in a online album called "Figurative Deconstruction" and I think the name nailed what I've always had in mind when I looked at the works of people like Bacon, Ghenie, Saville, Kanevsky, etc.. So Im gonna stick with it.

Work in Progress only because I am far from done.

Self Portrait

It was supposed to be part of my first exhibition in January. But, just as my real face, I am tired and sick of looking at it. Who needs another ugly painter painting himself full of hate and pseudo-poetry. I think this is pompous and purposeless so my exhibition is going to be just about women.

Safe from the Media

This is a study for a new series of portraits.

A series about socially retarded people. The incapacity to interact, the self consciousness, ugliness and deformity. The people that dont have photos of parties and thousands of friends to show. To me, they are the people I identify with and they are the people I find most interesting to portray and to sit and chat.

This is called Safe from the Media - Oil on Canvas Board - 31 X 25 cm

Oil - Marriage or True Love

Oil on Canvas - 61X91 cm

The largest canvas I've ever painted, An unavoidable aspect of love and marriage. The brain receptors for pain and pleasure are next door neighbours.
